Use this method for any shots that you are not sure of and must have.
1. Meter through your lens and set shutter speed and F stop accordingly.
2. Take your photo.
3. Go to the next lower F stop, and take another photo.
4. Reset back to the original F stop, then adjust to the next higher F stop, and take the photo.
Using this method you will have 3 of the same shots, so you will not miss getting the right
exposure. The bracketing can also be done by adjusting shutter speeds instead of F stops.
If your camera's meter is working properly, bracketing may not be much help when using print
film, since print film can be altered at the time of processing. It is necessary for that 'must have
shot' when using slide film. With slide film you get what you photograph, there are no room for
errors.
